Job Summary
You are a developing Junior Software Tools Developer with 1-2 years of applied experience, and post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. With direction and guidance, you will provide technical and/or management support and assist operations staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Experience working within multiple systems; JIRA exposure would be an asset
  • Hands on experience with a range of databases (QuickBase - preferred)
  • Expert Excel user level (experience with Power Query and Power Pivot - preferred)
  • Implements and maintains Ledcor systems and procedures at project start-up including: job site trailer/office and master filing system set up, assisting with the setup of project billings and the cost accounting system, creating and maintaining the project directory
  • Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation, preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines, and maintenance of files, logs, drawings and specifications
  • Develop metrics dashboards and advanced filters in JIRA to provide end users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports
  • Assist in gathering requirements for business processes and customizing JIRA workflows for multiple projects
  • Create custom fields, new issue types and field configurations
  • Identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests
  • Determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA setup and workflows and implements configuration changes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment and operations
  • Assist with the documentation of solutions and provide user training and guidance
  • May perform other related duties as required


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 1 -2 years of related work experience or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office programs and experience with scheduling software
  • Effectively assist in client requirements gathering, process analysis, and user acceptance testing \
  • Analytical skills; ability to learn quickly, analyze information, and problem solve based on clearly defined procedures
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal; confidence in interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic formats
  • Capable of responding to standard internal or external client requests regarding technical and non-technical matters
  • Willingness to work co-operatively with others to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to attend to a broad range of activities
  • Flexibility and ability to work on multiple projects and changing priorities with sense of urgency in fast paced environment
  • Adaptability to quick changing environment and ability to meet deadlines, retain and document process and update key stakeholders on deliverables and progress
  • Innovative, always looking for ways to improve
