Job Summary
You are a Talent Development professional seeking your next opportunity to exercise your senior level HR consulting skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment. As the Senior Talent Development Specialist at Ledcor, you will contribute to the company's overall success and specific business objectives through systematic talent identification and development. You will help grow the leadership bench strength and foster the desired organizational culture by constructing and implementing a set of talent and organizational development strategies and programs. The design, establishment, and success of such talent development solutions will rely on your aptitude to provide thought leadership within your immediate team and beyond. Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent, and as part of a senior team responsible for the overall Talent Strategy and programs, you will initiate and maintain discussions with other HR and operational leaders across the Ledcor Group of Companies. Your subject matter expertise in human resources/organizational development, combined with your project management skills, reputation for results, and business acumen, will contribute to your success in this role as you lead and influence exciting business transformation efforts.

Join Ledcor's talented Human Resources team in Edmonton, AB.

  • Provide thought leadership, direction, design and success support of talent and leadership solutions to enable Ledcor's business strategy
  • Partner with executives and senior leaders to understand the company's talent and leadership related needs
  • Facilitate and drive change initiatives by working with operational leadership teams to meet organizational goals
  • Partner with other HR leaders to integrate retention, leadership and talent development solutions with other talent management practices across the company including workforce planning, learning, total rewards, engagement, and talent acquisition
  • Lead the design of leadership and talent management programs, processes and practices required to attract, select, retain, motivate and develop people critical for organizational success
  • Act as the ambassador of talent and focus efforts on the creation of opportunities to expedite the capabilities and growth of the company's most important asset: our people
  • Continually analyze the current environment and emerging needs to provide informed recommendations on tools or process changes that will positively affect the company's ability to attract and retain top talent
  • Deliver formal leadership and talent program content to Ledcor participants either directly or through vendors; evaluate program success in accordance with best practices and business needs
  • Design and manage a portfolio of talent related areas such as engagement, performance, succession, assessment, coaching, mentoring and other talent and career development programs in consultation with HR Business Partners
  • Support a "leadership at all levels" approach in the design, facilitation and implementation of leadership development strategy, programs, tools and processes
  • Report on the outcomes of leadership programs and their return on investment

  • 7-10 years of solid, complex and professional-level generalist human resources experience, with a focus on leadership coaching and development
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, such as Education, Business, Organizational Development, or Industrial Psychology
  • Experience in developing programs related to senior leadership development and succession planning
  • Certification and demonstrated expertise in coaching, change management, organizational development or similar would be an asset
  • Demonstrated background in the creation of tools and methodology related to leadership development
  • Proven influencer and collaborator, with the ability to provide guidance and support to business clients, and develop strong interpersonal relationships
  • Proven experience working and collaborating with senior business leaders in a consultative capacity, demonstrating strong analytical capabilities
  • Understanding of change management methodologies
  • Experience developing/implementing Inclusion & Diversity strategy and programs would be an asset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, while remaining aligned with HR and Ledcor Group strategies

Work Conditions
  • Travel to majority of Ledcor's operational sites and headquarters for consultation and/or delivery as required (approximately 25%)
  • Must be eligible to travel in the United States
