Job Summary
You are a developing Project Coordinator with 1-2 years of applied experience, as well as established theoretical knowledge of Construction and/or Engineering, obtained through post-secondary education. In this role, and with direction and guidance, you will provide technical and/or management support and assist operations staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Develop metrics dashboards, advanced filters and Reports in Power BI, JIRA, & QuickBase to provide end users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports
  • Assists with establishing APIs between systems
  • Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation, preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines, and maintenance of files, logs, drawings and specifications
  • Assist in gathering requirements for business processes and customizing JIRA workflows for multiple projects
  • Documents Process and System Attributes
  • Create custom fields, new issue types and field configurations
  • Identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests
  • Determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA setup and workflows and implements configuration changes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment and operations
  • Assist with the documentation of solutions and provide user training and guidance
  • May perform other related duties as required

  • Completed, or nearly completed, post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering or related discipline
  • 1 to 2 years of related work experience or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Knowledge of PMO processes including project set up, subcontract management, change orders, RFI's, lien holdbacks and closeouts
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office programs and experience with scheduling software
  • Effectively assist in client requirements gathering, process analysis, and user acceptance testing
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently
  • Strong communication skills and displayed confidence in interacting with key contacts in verbal, written and electronic formats
  • Capable of responding to standard internal or external client requests regarding technical and non-technical matters
  • Ability to learn quickly, analyze information, and problem solve based on clearly defined procedures
  • Willingness to work co-operatively with others to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to attend to a broad range of activities
