Job Summary
You are an experienced Equipment Operator who is familiar with various types of either backhoes, graders or excavators working around pipelines. You will be responsible for the safe excavation around pipelines or on hot lines as part of cathodic protection installation work.
Join the Ledcor Industrial Maintenance team. We will consider applicants from Alberta & Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities
•Performs direct excavation around and/or on pipelines for cathodic protection installation projects
•Experience with topsoil stripping and replacement
•Experience working on pipeline right of way
•Read and understand plans/drawings of underground facilities/locates.
•Review and understand construction drawings, understand cut/fill stakes.
•Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision
•Assisting in installing anodes, cable etc. or perform other duties when not operating equipment
•Move equipment and materials between sites
•Maintain all equipment in good and safe working condition and report any findings to lead hand
•Participate in daily tool box talks and take active role in Ledcor's health and safety program
•May perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
•Must have a minimum of 5 to 10 years' experience directly related to excavation on and around pipelines
•Must have experience operating excavator, backhoe, grader, skid steer and trencher
•Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks as needed
•Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol screening
•Must possess and maintain a clean driver's abstract and valid driver's license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven
•Ability to work with little supervision, while adding to a safe and positive team environment is a must
•Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
•Class 1 driver's license is an asset

Work Conditions
•Applicants that reside in AB & SK, and surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
•15/6 shift rotation working 10 hours/day with travel on first and last day of days off
•Travel allowance will be paid; no travel time
•LOA will be paid except on last day travel back home; No LOA on days off
•Must be flexible working different or shorter shift rotations if required

•Must be willing to travel extensively and work in various outdoor weather conditions
