Job Summary:

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of Highway Maintenance Equipment; such as Plow Truck and Trailers, Loaders, Graders and a host of other support equipment.  
• Follow manufacturer and company maintenance programs and inspection procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance including filter and lube services and inspections
• Engage and participate in Ledcor safety policies and procedures
• Complete maintenance records and documentation as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic on heavy equipment (on-road and off-road)
• Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide a valid driver’s abstract
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skill
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Work Conditions

• Applicants that reside in the Grande Prairie, Alberta area will be given preference due to the location of this project
• As an essential services provider there is field call out requirements in addition to the regularly schedule work days
• Work is typically conducted in various shop environments
• Work vehicle will be provided
• Benefits provided by CLAC
