Job Summary:

The Document Control Assistant will report to the Document Control Manager and closely collaborate with project teams to continuously drive consistent and efficient processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of document control procedures in accordance with organizational and contractual requirements
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with project teams
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of projects on the selected EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) based on project requirements
  • Provide initial and ongoing EDMS training to project teams (internal and external)
  • Support project-specific Document Control Coordinators
  • Assist Document Control Manager with other related duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a document control or administrative role, ideally in the Construction industry
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong technical skills including experience with MS Office Suite and the writing of procedures
  • Experience with Aconex or similar document management system an asset
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak and present to small groups of employees
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
