Job Summary:

You are an experienced Ground Support Technician with a passion for aviation! Summit Air is a growing team with one of the largest and most diverse fleet in the industry. The Ground Support Technician will support the operations in Edmonton, AB and be responsible for ensuring the fleet’s readiness for flight, servicing the Aircraft's lavatories and potable water, towing aircraft to departure locations, and will assist our freight operations..

​Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensuring freight is accounted for, loading freight on aircraft, advising expeditors if there is any missing freight or freight unable to make the flight.
  • Servicing of our Aircraft’s Lavatories and Potable Water Systems, post flight, and as required by Maintenance
  • Aircraft Towing – To and From Departure locations
  • Other tasks as requested to ensure smooth operations, and to make certain the fleet is ready to operate when required.

Qualifications

  • 2 + years of experience in aviation, preferably ground handling/support services
  • Experience with freight operations
  • Mechanical experience- ground equipment/vehicles
  • Forklift experience/license
  • High school Diploma or GED
