Job Summary:

You are a qualified, safety minded, Helicopter Pilot looking to join the team at Summit Helicopters. This opportunity will provide term coverage during our high season as a wildfire pilot and/or drill pilot, working a flexible 20 day on, 10 day off schedule. There may be opportunities to move into a full-time pool positions for excellent performers.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Summit Helicopters Safety and Operational policies, procedures and software systems
  • Operate aircraft safely and efficiently
  • Plan work, prepare aircraft and auxiliary equipment as required
  • Represent Company with professional and can-do attitude

Qualifications

  • Current Canadian Commercial Helicopter License
  • Preferred 1000 hours total time
  • Bell 412 endorsement, and/or
  • Bell 407 endorsement
  • 500 hours PIC on type (BH41) required
  • 500 hours PIC on type (BH407) required
  • Collaborative, independent and professional attitude required
  • Previous fire-fighting experience required
  • Precision long line experience providing drill support/moves required
  • Experience in mountainous terrain and confined landing sites required
  • Strong focus on client service required
  • Heli-Ski experience would be an asset
  • HAC Mountain Course would be an asset

Work Conditions

  • Great Day Rate (training days are full rate; travel days are half);
  • $50 per diems;
  • 2-hour minimum on wildfire spec;
  • 4-hour minimum on drill job;
  • Paid travel from nearest agreed airport;

Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements may be considered depending on the number of responses.  Endorsements will be considered for candidates would have comparable experience.
