Field Operations Technician III

Job Summary:

You are a Field Operations Technician 3 with 5-7 years’ experience looking to build your career with Ledcor Technical Services: You will perform installation, repair, configuration and testing of moves, additions, changes and disconnects (MACD) on various Nortel, Fujitsu, Alcatel and similar products to support customer optical, electrical, voice and data services. Additionally, you will test circuits using optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR). This includes mostly restoration activities but also preventative maintenance and installation activities.

• Previous experience working in the field independently and thriving in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated and able to prioritize and organize workloads with little direction
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity
• Affirm competence of the following tools: JDSU Platform / 100G, FOC Fiber Optic Characterization, RFC Testing, Hammer Drill, Breaker Install / BDFB, primary POC on multiple site installs or projects,
• Provide quote for single site.
• Computer literate and proficient in Windows XP and MS Office environment
• Become familiar with LTS Services software and tools ie: Ledcor connect, The Hub, Workday, CMS, Share Point, I auditor, click software, click compliance, spares tracker usage, Stratasync, and Blue training.
• Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license
• Must have an maintain a clear driver’s history
• Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug & alcohol requirements
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds and carrying 28-foot extension ladder), working at heights (15 to 25 feet above the ground), in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)

Please note: This role may require on call work for emergency restoration
