Job Summary:

We are seeking an Equipment Coordinator Winter and Summer students to join our Ledcor team in various mining site locations across Nevada (Reno, Elko, Lovelock, Luning, Silverpeak, Eureka) and California (Bakersfield, Ridgecrest, Mojave).  Winter schedules will likely be based in Reno for a few hours per week.  The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for providing ongoing support to the equipment group in the field. The Equipment Coordinator will coordinate work orders, maintenance activities and record all equipment information.


  • Liaises with site maintenance personnel to update month end hour meter reporting, maintain over-hour tracking spreadsheet and maintain rental over-hour liabilities
  • Ensures all light vehicle information (assignments, location etc) is tracked and recorded
  • Records equipment inventory (tire, GET, etc)
  • Responsible for data entry in to work order system
  • Responsible for generating reports on warranty tracking
  • Monitors/Processes/Updates backlog reports
  • Assists with maintenance scheduling
  • Updates certifications and compliance
  • Maintains all equipment files
  • Ensures personal safety responsibilities


  • Working towards completion of a degree in mining, mechanical or civil engineering or related program
  • Open to travel for project work on sites across North America
  • Can build relationships, team orientated, personable, confident, able to influence key stakeholders and proactively participate in discussions
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Able to read and understand construction documents
  • Familiar with Maintenance and work order practices
  • Strong computer background including experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to learn and understand software programs and new systems
  • Familiarity of JD Edwards or equivalent, an asset

  • Work Schedule: variable based on project, office, shift and camp schedules
  • Travel: Travel to various sites and locations including relocation will be required
  • Available: Winter and Summer 2021
