Job Summary:

You are a Project Coordinator, working independently or with minimal direction/guidance, you provide technical and / or management support for projects, including Design/Engineering and Permitting, and assists operations staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Responsibilities:

·         Supports the (sub) contract management / procurement process through the tendering and awarding of work or supply materials, assisting with the review, and processing invoices and progress claims.

·         Facilitate weekly update calls with internal and external customers to establish accurate and timely forecasts to which parties will be held accountable.

·         Work very closely with functional managers to ensure project due dates are met or exceeded, customer complaints are confirmed and addressed, and billing is being processed once project is closed.

·         Assist with the application for permits from local municipalities as required, including delivering checks for payment.

·         Supports the change order management process

·         Remains flexible to the ever-changing environment of the telecommunications industry and has the ability to learn quickly when faced with new challenges.

·         Use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.

·         Performs general administrative and record keeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence, meeting minutes, submittals, and requests for information (RFI)s

Qualifications:

·         2 to 5 years of related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience

·         Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred)·        

·         General understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.·        

·         Knowledge of current permitting practices

·         Ability to solve problems based on clearly defines procedures

·         Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

·         Working knowledge of QuickBase, PowerBI, Excel (Power Pivot), etc.
