Job Summary:
Summit Air is looking for a Maintenance Controller to join our growing team! As the Maintenance Controller you will be responsible for managing both scheduled and mechanical irregularities. Maintenance Control will work with flight operations to coordinate the scheduled workload for all maintenance bases. You will be the primary interface between Maintenance, Operations, and Flight Following to provide updates on aircraft status and coordinate aircraft availability based on maintenance schedules and demands.Essential Responsibilities:
Control, track and manage all scheduled maintenance as well as coordinate recovery efforts for abnormal/unscheduled maintenance operations.
Ensure the web-based maintenance communication tool for all aircraft is updated and accurate
Continually review and track aircraft that are operating under an MEL and make recommendations to return the aircraft to normal operations
Supervise, manage and mentor crew chiefs to prioritize maintenance work that requires immediate action and be able to separate and parse out which can wait until operational demand is reduced.
Manage maintenance sub-contractors – booking, travel, accommodation, etc
Qualifications:
1- 5 years related experience required
Experience as either AME or Crew Chief required
Previous experience as Maintenance Controller considered an asset
Excellent Interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficient computer skills
Maintenance tracking software experience required
