Job Summary:

Reporting to the client facility, the successful applicant will support Ledcor's client’s regional pipeline maintenance related activities at multiple locations across the province.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversee pipeline inspections
  • Assist with inspections and maintenance related to valve servicing, troubleshooting and repair equipment such as actuators, valves, stem seals and other related components
  • Complete pipeline nitrogen purges and refills
  • Install overpressure protection systems
  • Assist with pipelines isolations and gas handling duties including installation and operation of air movers/expellers as well as blow down silencers
  • Read and interpret alignment sheets/drawings
  • Lead/manage safe and efficient completion of low complexity projects including the coordination and monitoring of contractor work activities or third-party active control
  • Oversee a team of contractors


  • 5+ years experience working as a Millwright
  • Pipeline/facility construction/maintenance experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Journeyperson Millwright ticket from a recognized provincial authority
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clear 3-year driver's abstract
  • Must be highly motivated with interpersonal skills to effectively work in a team environment that includes shared responsibilities while acting independently in the execution of specific duties
  • Must possess willingness to work in all areas required by the team
  • Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have working knowledge of computers and related software
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Condition

  • Working outside in all weather conditions
  • Working in remote areas across Alberta, LOA provided for those that qualify
  • Current shift is 14-day modified schedule beginning Sunday: Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 9 hours per day, Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 9 hours per day and 8 hours on Friday
  • This position is overtime eligible, may be part of an on-call rotation and provides emergency support as required.
