Job Summary:

You are a safety focused Hydrovac Operator, with experience working in fast-paced heavy industrial projects. You have a Class 3 License and are a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy duty Hydrovac truck throughout various projects in Ft. McMurray as assigned
  • Complete minor daily maintenance on the truck and vac unit, keep excellent repair and maintenance logs
  • Running Hydrovac to complete excavation of high pressure pipelines
  • Completing daily log book and inspections
  • Performing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) review and creating JSA's
  • Ensuring all work tasks and duties comply with client Operating Procedures and Community, Safety & Environment policies, procedures and related legislation

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of Hydrovac Operating experience
  • Must have the ability to safely and effectively operate manual Hydrovac trucks in tight and congested areas
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have a Class 3 with air driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Must have a high degree of respect for safe work habits
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while acting independently in the execution of excavation duties
  • Ability to perform physically demanding labor duties as required
  • Ground Disturbance Level 2, Fall Protection with harness training, TDG and WHMIS certifications are all highly desired
  • OSSA or BSO is an asset

Work Conditions

  • Work is primarily outdoors, in various outdoor weather conditions
  • Ability to work flexible shifts (14/7 or 14/14), with 10-12 hour days
  • Camp and travel provided for those that qualify
