Job Summary:

You are a budding Backend Developer seeking an opportunity to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will participate in the design and development of data pipelines, server, and web applications with SQL Server, SharePoint, Jira Core, and QuickBase. You will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle and provide maintenance support as required.

This is a 6 Month Temporary Fixed Term position with extended health, dental & vision & paid vacation.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform all traditional development activities, such as analysis, design, coding, testing, project management and documentation.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end data pipelines / ETL processes, including 3rd party integrations.
  • Design and develop enhancements to established web applications with data foundations that support actionable KPIs, production-quality dashboards, informative deep dives, and scalable data solutions.
  • Participate in design and code reviews as part of an Agile/Scrum team.
  • Translate business and design goals into usable products.
  • Work on a tight schedule to drive development projects to completion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ professional experience in a developer role.
  • Proficiency in Python and at least one strongly typed language, Java or Groovy preferred
  • Solid experience building data pipelines using SSIS, including 3rd party apps through SOAP/REST.
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions in the cloud platform (preferably Azure).
  • Scrum experience and familiarity with Jira Core are preferred.
  • Experience architecting and implementing data lakes or similar data abstraction layers is an asset.
  • Creative, self-starting, results-oriented and highly motivated, with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to apply knowledge to independently resolve complex business and technical problems.
