Job Summary:

You are a safety-focused Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic with previous Industrial experience. You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair of heavy equipment in accordance with quality, safety, and efficiency standards

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and mid-life maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment, including filter and lube services
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions and repairs or replaces defective parts, components, or systems
• Perform maintenance and repair of earthmoving equipment, zoom booms, cranes, aerial work platforms, light duty vehicles, as well as a variety of small equipment
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Write service reports
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals

Qualifications:

• Must have a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic ticket from a recognized provincial training authority, Red Seal is an asset
• Must have previous experience working on large industrial equipment
• Automotive mechanic experience is required
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Work Conditions

• Work to commence in June 2021
• 10/4 shift rotation working 10 hours per day
• Camp provided
• Charter Flights provided from either Edmonton or Calgary
• Benefits provided by CLAC
• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
