Job Summary:

You are a Site Acquisition Specialist with 5+ years of experience being responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for various telecommunications projects, within local, state and federal approving authorities. You will work closely with the engineering team to resolve any conflicts that arise during permitting and will be responsible for forecasting, tracking, and managing your milestones to completion according to schedule.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversees obtaining all necessary land use approvals (local, state, and/or federal) for a portfolio of telecommunications sites across multiple scopes.
  • Accountable for coordinating all internal and external activities in order to forecast permit submittals and approvals in an accurate manner.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in telecom permitting and within local market working in.
  • Oversees document control and ensures compliance with customer requirements.
  • Executes Quality Plan, ensures accuracy of information, documents, deliverables, and forecasts provided to client.
  • Resolves complex zoning and/or permitting issues.
  • Acts as an expediter in ability to decrease turnaround times from submittal to receipt.
  • Negotiates ground lease terms and utility easements with landowners.
  • Work safely and independently.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree from a recognized program, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of telecommunications permitting experience, including both right of way and leasing experience
  • Ability to understand zoning codes and real estate documents
  • Ability to read and comprehend legal documents such as surveys, ground leases, easements, deeds, land purchase contracts, mortgages, title policies, subordination, and CAD drawings
  • Excellent organizational, planning skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated knowledge in basic project management principles
  • Ability to set strategy and execute it on-time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Familiar using/navigating within industry standard GIS systems
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
