Job Summary:

You are an experienced scheduler, ideally with a background in aviation or transportation. The Crew Scheduler is responsible for assigning crews to flights and other activities ensuring that they comply with all regulatory and customer restrictions. The crew scheduler is also responsible to track all crew activities in the operational software. In addition, you will provide support during irregular operations and work closely with the operational control center team and assist in resolving issues as they arise with respect to crewing restrictions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assign crews to flights in operational software
  • Coordinate with OCC during Irregular operations (IROPS) events
  • Track all crew duty activities  
  • Coordinate with training coordinator for crew training activities
  • Coordinate with crew planner for crew sched changes
  • Coordinate with Chief Pilots for crew changes, schedule changes, vacation requests, etc

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a crew scheduling, planning and/or dispatch role
  • Related education or training would be an asset
  • Familiarity with Transport Canada and Canadian Aviation Regulations required
  • Strong computer skills, particularly MS Excel
  • Analytical and organized, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high volume work environment
  • Proven communication skills to ensure effective and timely flow of information

Working Conditions:

  • Position is based in Yellowknife, NT
  • Shift: 4 on/4 off
