Job Summary:

This is your opportunity to be involved in the landmark Coastal Gas Link Project. You an experienced Survey Lead with substantial pipeline construction experience. You will be responsible for the survey function on our Pipeline project in the Kitimat Area.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage survey team to complete field survey requests, measurements, setup and configuring survey instruments
  • Establish primary and secondary survey control
  • Interpret and extrapolate surveying data from construction and design drawings
  • Communicate with surveyors and contractors to complete surveying tasks
  • Utilize GPS and Total Station equipment for surveying activities 
  • Delegate tasks to survey crews daily to ensure all proper data is collected for design creation
  • Work closely with the engineering group to facilitate revisions to the grade model
  • Engage with the Ground Disturbance team to support the development of CAD files and associated data for design creation

Qualifications

  • Completed 2 year diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field 
  • 10+ years of experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership position
  • Must have previous surveying experience working with GPS, Total Station and CAD programs 
  • Prior experience working on pipeline construction projects is essential
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing  
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License 
  • Must provide a copy of a valid Driver’s Abstract

  • Site based position - Flexible rotation
  • Camp based position
