Job Summary:

You are a Piping Lead Hand or Foreperson with extensive experience in Industrial Piping projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team leading crews working on an Oilfield Tailings Continuation and pipeline relocation project. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise 5-10 person crews of, Ironworkers, Welders, Pipefitters, Operators and/or Labourers, performing pipeline demolition, relocation and tailing pond re-construction
  • Interface with the client and other contractors on site
  • Ensure the safety of the crew, equipment, and environment
  • Ensure that work is completed during regular hours


  • 5+ years of experience in pipeline construction with several years in a leadership capacity at the minimum of lead hand level
  • Related Journeyperson ticket is an asset
  • Previous experience executing successful pipeline projects in an industrial construction setting
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and possesses a track record of successfully managing client relationships effectively
  • Proven ability to build and maintain successful work crews; has manpower network and the ability to leverage those relationships within the industry
  • Effective leader who can motivate and facilitate people and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
  • Must have a CSO or BSO ticket

Work Conditions:

  • Shift based position working 14/7 rotation, working 10 hours per day
  • Site based camp provided and travel allowance provided for those that qualify
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
