Job Summary:

You are a skilled Carpenter with experience to support us on industrial oil & gas projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the CBR Cogen project. This is a three year project that includes replacement of three coke fired boilers with two 400 MegaWatt cogen units. Project is conveniently located right outside of Fort McMurray at Suncor Baseplant.

.Essential Responsibilities:

• Comprehend drawings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
• Understand industrial concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms
• Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location

Qualifications:

• Have a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial carpentry trade.
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Successful candidates will require CSTS 2020, CSO or BSO,

Work Conditions:

• Project is located in the Fort McMurray AB and is commencing in July 2021, with long term potential
• 10/4 schedule working 10 hours per day + additional banked time to allow leaving early on last day of work
• Site based camp provided
• Charter Flights from either Edmonton or Calgary, and travel allowance for out-of-province candidates who qualify
• Driving to Fort McMurray is an option as there is camp parking available
