Job Summary:

You are a skilled Labourer with experience to support us on industrial oil & gas projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the CBR Cogen project. This is a three year project that includes replacement of three coke fired boilers with two 400 MegaWatt cogen units. The project is conveniently located right outside of Fort McMurray at Suncor Base Plant.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks on the labour crew to support industrial operations
  • Provide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area
  • Conduct ground work including shoveling snow, raking, pumping water, and prepping ground for concrete
  • Act as a spotter for heavy equipment
  • Assist carpenters with forming and stripping concrete forms
  • Pour small foundations and pedestals as well as picks up and delivers materials

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as Skilled Labourer or Carpenter's Apprentice in an industrial setting is mandatory
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
  • Successful candidates will require CSTS 2020, CSO or BSO, Confined Space tickets

Work Conditions:

  • Project to commence in July 2021, with long term potential
  • 10/4 schedule working 10 hours per day + additional banked time to allow leaving early on last day of work.
  • Site based camp provided
  • Charter Flights from either Edmonton or Calgary, and travel allowance for out-of-province candidates who qualify
  • Driving is an option as there is camp based parking available.
