Job Summary:
As the Construction Manager, you will ensure schedules are met and critical outside plant telecommunications construction projects are delivered for clients in the Michigan area. You will utilize your experience in project tracking and reporting to meet production goals.Bring your telecom or utility distribution experience and join our True Blue team today!
- Coordinates day to day construction site operation
- Provides technical and operational direction to project superintendents and construction engineers and be a key on-site liaison with client representatives, subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensures construction operations are well organized and coordinated and comply with Ledcor’s requirements
- Ensures project timelines are adhered to
- Completes quality control audits to ensure Ledcor’s quality expectations are adhered to
- Manages construction issues and develops solutions to address issues
- Coordinates all resource requirements for projects including personnel, equipment, materials, etc.
- Maintains strong working relationships at job sites with client representatives, subcontractors, suppliers and labor force
- Prepares site specific tender packages
- Prepares handover packages
- Ensures Ledcor’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures are adhered to
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related construction management experience in civil/infrastructure telecommunication projects is preferable
- Experience in Civil and/or Tower construction in hazardous and adverse weather conditions
- Diploma in Construction Management from an accredited technical institution or an Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong business acumen; results oriented
