Job Summary:

You are a Labourer seeking an opportunity to start your career in the marine industry, in a position that provides extensive benefits and with a company who prides themselves on safety.

 Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks to support the office and maintenance operations
  • Provide general clean up, ongoing monitoring and upkeep of all work site areas
  • Assist mechanics with general maintenance
  • Tending to the workshop recycling area
  • Coordinating supply requests
  • Refueling of company vehicles
  • Purchasing/pick up of parts and supplies, as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance environment would be an asset
  • Experience using power tools
  • In possession of a Pleasure Craft Operator Certificate is preferred, but not required
  • In possession of a Confined Space Entry Certificate is preferred, but not required
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification
  • Must have a valid BC driver’s license

Work Conditions

  • 4 day workweek, including weekends. 10 hour shifts
  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
  • Training will be provided
