Job Summary:

As a Resource Planning Coordinator, you will work closely with our Resource and Strategy team to ensure that our field team is optimally deployed. Utilizing your attention to detail and the ability to work in several systems, you will assist with the processing of operational requests and facilitate ad-hoc requests from clients requesting support .

This role can be based in the Greater Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain and adjust work schedules for technicians
  • Assist with the processing of operational requests (e.g., vacation planning for field workforce)
  • Communicate and coordinate with technicians for out-of-town work assignments
  • Facilitate ad-hoc requests from clients requesting support in various communities
  • Help track and manage the onboarding process of new field-based technicians
  • Inventory, track and distribute various supporting assets for the field
  • Assist with travel coordination including booking of accommodations and transportation
  • Draft, edit, and type correspondence, reports, presentations and other documentation using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years in a resource planning or resource coordination role or equivalent administrative experience preferred
  • Previous exposure to the telecommunications and/or construction industries is considered an asset
  • High attention to detail and ability to organize schedules and training
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong computer background including experience with MS Office.  Intermediate to advanced scheduling skills required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box and perform research when required
  • Comfortable working independently while still collaborating and communicating with peers
  • Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Excel or Sheets is an asset
