Job Summary:

You are a new graduate with a diploma as a Survey Technician or C.E.T. Previous field surveying experience is an asset. You are a team player who is willing to lend a hand whenever assistance is required to get the job done.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Complete field survey requests, measurements, setup and configure survey instruments
  • Establish a primary and secondary survey control
  • Interpret and extrapolate surveying data from construction and design drawings
  • Install survey stake lines and survey control monuments
  • Communicate with surveyors and contractors to complete surveying tasks
  • Help prepare surveying notes, grade sheets, and calculate coordinates


  • Completed diplomat in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Technical background in surveying, using both conventional and GPS Trimble survey equipment
  • Proficient with Trimble Access
  • Experience with civil construction, earthworks, and concrete are all assets
  • Motivated, self-starter who can work well independently and within a team environment
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies

Work Conditions:

  • Applicants who reside in Ontario will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • Rotational shift work
  • Night shifts may be required
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
