Job Summary:

You are an experienced Grade Control Supervisor seeking a great wage, extensive benefits, and a company who prides themselves on safety. You will be responsible for implementation of Machine Control on our Pipeline projects in the Valemount and Blue River areas in BC

Essential Responsibilities

  • Utilize GPS and Total Station equipment for surveying activities 
  • Create alignment and surface designs in CAD that are compatible with both Trimble and Topcon machine control systems
  • Setup and maintain a GPS network over long distances for both surveyors and equipment to use
  • Install, calibrate and maintain GPS systems in both excavators and dozers. (Trimble and Topcon)
  • Trouble shoot and repair and issues with the machine control systems
  • Delegate tasks to survey crews daily to ensure all proper data is collected for design creation
  • Work closely with the engineering group to facilitate revisions to the grade model
  • Engage with the Ground Disturbance team to support the development of CAD files and associated data for design creation

Qualifications:

  • Must have previous surveying experience working with GPS, Total Station and CAD programs 
  • Prior experience working on pipeline construction projects is essential
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing  
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License 
  • Must provide a copy of a valid Driver’s Abstract  

Work Conditions

  • Site based position - 6 days on 1 day off or other various shifts
  • LOA or camp based position
  • Remote locations
