Job Summary:

Reporting to the Claims Manager, the newly created role of Claims & Risk Management Coordinator is to support the Risk Management Department. As the Claims & Risk Management Coordinator, you will support the Risk Management department in managing data relating to various insurance claims and documentation management.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Review, record, and mark incident reports for action by Claims team and third-party administrator
  • Coordinate exchange of information on property claims between site operations, and insurance company, providing support to operations in presenting relevant claims information to insurers
  • Work within the claims database ensuring accurate and detailed records including scanned documents are up to date
  • Submit and monitor subrogation demands in a timely manner and facilitate recovery through negotiation with the third party insurers
  • Supports the Risk Management department with insurance administration including tracking endorsements, insurance invoices and updating insurance data


  • 1 to 3 years' experience dealing with property and Casualty claims
  • Experience in RMIS systems and adapting to new technologies
  • Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize work
  • Customer Service focused and will act as a resource for other team members
