Job Summary:

As a Subcontracts Coordinator you will be an active participant in the overall Subcontractor Management Program. By using your excellent interpersonal skills, you will manage the relationships and information with subcontractors. Working on the high-profile Transmountain Expansion Project based in the lower mainland, this opportunity will give you the chance to work on a career defining, long-term project.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Contractual prequalification of subcontractors, both Quality and Safety
  • Adheres to Client safety requirements, including participation in client led investigations
  • Conducts and documents meetings internally
  • Audits work orders and related documents, and provides guidance and correction
  • Maintain subcontractor documentation, contract documents, back charges, ensure records are up to date etc.
  • Assists in subcontractor onboarding so pre-access requirements are met
  • Responds to Client requests while representing Ledcor in a very professional and businesslike manner, enhancing Client relationships
  • Update and maintain information on our company databases and computer systems.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role in subcontract, site coordination or HSE is suggested
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field will be considered an asset but is not required
  • An understanding of the pipeline, energy or construction industries is an asset
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Interface with different KLTP departments, client and regulatory agencies, eliminate communication gaps between subs and construction teams
  • Effective multitasking and organizational skills and be able to work well in a team environment
  • Maintaining the highest customer satisfaction along with strong professionalism is a must
  • Strong computer background including experience with programs such as MS Word and Excel
