Job Summary:

You are an experienced ATPL Captain with 2000+ hours, looking for an opportunity to diversify your type rating on the Dornier 228. Summit Air is seeking a pilot for a 3 week on/3 week off rotation to Mary River, Nunavut.

If you have flown in Northern Canada and want to gain additional experience, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities

  • Operate Dornier 228 aircraft safely and efficiently on rotation to Northern Canada
  • Stay current with all available flight information, including weather, and applicable NOTAMs where available, and determine fuel and oil requirements
  • Complete the aircraft pre-flight inspection, as well as all post-flight duties

   Requirements

  • Current Canadian ATPL
  • 2000 hours Total Time
  • 1500 hours PIC
  • 500 hours multi PIC
  • Familiarity with Dornier 228 preferred, but not required – training will be provided
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experince flying North of 60 an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven leadership ability
  • Commitment to safety culture
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements
  • Must be fully vaccinated and provide valid COVID-19 vaccination record (unless you have a legitimate recognized medical or religious reason for not getting vaccinated)

Work Conditions

  • Rotating from a major Canadian city to Mary River on Baffin Island
  • 3 week on / 3 week off schedule
  • Company exams and training held annually in Yellowknife, NT
