Job Summary:

You are a Fuel & Lube Technician who takes pride in the maintenance of pipeline construction equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. If you are a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed, this position is for you!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Safely fuel and service heavy equipment as required and directed
  • Complete equipment inspections, report repairs required and assist in scheduling repairs
  • Operate fuel/service truck safely and efficiently
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of service kits, lubes, oils, and other supplies
  • Coordinate equipment service activities with production and maintenance team members
  • Supports Mechanics with repairs of heavy equipment
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Fuel & Lube Technician for heavy duty equipment required
  • Previous pipeline industry experience highly regarded
  • Knowledge of parts and servicing of Cat, Hitachi & Komatsu equipment
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must hold valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
  • Must hold air brakes designation. Class 3 preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain valid First Aid, PCST (Pipeline Construction Safety Training), First Aid Lvl C with CPR and Ground Disturbance Lvl 2 certificates.  Training provided.
  • Must possess a valid form of government issued photo identification.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.



Work Conditions:

  • Site based position
  • Shift equivalent to a 3/1
  • Camp based accommodation provided
