Labourers - Crack Sealing

Job Summary:

Ledcor is looking for Seasonal Labourers for Crack Sealing work to support our Highways Maintenance crew.

Join Ledcor’s mobile crack sealing crew and be an important part in keeping Alberta highways safe! Initially based out of the Entwistle area, the mobile crack sealing crew will travel and undertake crack sealing activities around the Edmonton, Edson, Drayton Valley and Grande Prairie areas. Additional areas may be added throughout the season.

If you’re a hardworking Labourer, with a Class 5 license, who takes pride in performing safe and quality work and are looking for a summer opportunity, this role may be for you. You will be responsible for performing general crack sealing, and flagging.

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely perform various highway maintenance tasks including crack sealing, flagging, etc.
• Assist with traffic control procedures
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks
• Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and provide a clear 3-year driver's abstract
• Traffic Controller or Flagging experience an asset

Work Conditions

• Shift work (5 days on, 2 days off, expected 10 hours/day work schedule but subject to change)
• On call and both day and night shift may be required

• Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
• Living Out Allowance will be provided
