Job Summary:

You are an experienced Driller who takes pride in the safe and efficient operation of production mining equipment. You are a driven individual, who continuously looks for opportunities to learn and grow.

Apply today to join the Ledcor Heavy Civil Mining team in Dubreuilville, Ontario! This is a camp-based position.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operation of top hammer pioneering drill.
  • Operates and understands mechanics of a top head drilling unit
  • Drill blast holes to various depths
  • Lay out drill pattern as required
  • Experience with operating drill in rough underfoot conditions
  • Complies with all company, client, legislated safety policies and procedures
  • Understands the limitations of the drill rig and the performances it can safely provide
  • Detects and performs small mechanical repairs to the drill
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

  • Top Hammer drilling experience
  • Must have knowledge of drill patterns and the structure in which they are developed
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)

Work Conditions: 

  • Applicants who reside in Ontario will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • 14/7 shift schedule, working 11.5 hours per day
  • Must be open to night shifts
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
