Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreperson seeking a great wage, extensive benefits, and want to work for a company who prides themselves on safety. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on the CBR High Voltage Project. You’re a team player who is willing to lend a hand whenever assistance is required to get the job done.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a crew of Carpenters and Labourers
  • Interface with the client and other contractors on site
  • Ensure the safety of the crew, equipment, and work environment
  • Ensure that work is completed during regular hours
  • Ensures overall compliance of Ledcor's health, safety, and environmental standards as well as occupational health and safety regulations daily
  • Demonstrates ability to lead teams effectively in the day-to-day execution of the work by managing resources, equipment, and labour
  • Completes daily paperwork and conduct daily toolbox talks
  • Coordinates and communicates with Supervision to ensure the correct sequencing of operations 
  • Effective organizational and planning skills; proven experience organizing workloads, managing multiple priorities, and working with multiple deadlines

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • A trade background in carpentry and experience with concrete
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and clear 3-year driver's abstract
  • OSSA ROP/CSO/BSO, Wildlife Awareness, H2S Alive is an asset

Work Conditions:

  • Shift based position working 14/7 rotation, working 10 hours per day
  • Camp accommodation provided
  • Travel allowance provided according to location residence
  • Flights are not provided
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
