Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Foreperson, you will be responsible for supervising our team of Millwrights, ensuring that work is completed in a safe and efficient manner. Quality and safety are important to you, and you are proud of your work at the end of each day.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist with inspections and maintenance related to valve servicing, troubleshooting and repair equipment such as actuators, valves, stem seals and other related components
  • Assist with installing a floating pump and on shore rotation equipment
  • Read and interpret alignment sheets/drawings
  • Lead/manage safe and efficient completion of low complexity projects including the coordination and monitoring of contractor work activities

Qualifications

  • Pipeline/facility construction/maintenance experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Must be a Journeyman Millwright
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Must be highly motivated with interpersonal skills to effectively work in a team environment that includes shared responsibilities while acting independently in the execution of specific duties
  • Must possess willingness to work in all areas required by the team
  • Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be able to provide a drivers abstract for review and possess a valid drivers license (non-GDL)

Work Conditions

  • 6/1 project rotation
  • Site based camp accommodation and chartered flights provided
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
  • Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Position is temporary for six weeks, with a strong possibility of extension.
