Job Summary:
As an Aggregates Sourcing Coordinator you bring your ability to build relationships and experience with Sieve Analysis together. You investigate source suitability and perform value creation analysis of aggregates sources assisting Ledcor's Highways Maintenance operations in their current operations and new pursuits.Responsibilities:
- Sourcing aggregate source options for Highways Maintenance Operations through desktop and in field searches
- Investigating source suitability to determine source availability
- Obtaining sieve analysis results of aggregate samples for sieve analysis
- Perform value creation analyses of aggregate sources
- Review existing aggregate sources and costs such as haul distances and rates from source to shop locations
- Determine pit operating costs, size of existing stockpiles, material processing requirements, permitting requirements, overburden/aggregate ratio
- Presentation of findings to operations and management staff
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Surveying, or related education
- Education in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology will be highly regarded
- Experience with Sieve Analysis (aggregates testing) required
- Knowledge and skills in use of Google Earth
- Must be opened to traveling up to 50% of the time within Alberta
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a Drivers Abstract required
