Job Summary:

You are a Journeyperson Electrician, or indentured Electrical Apprentice with experience on industrial projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working on an oilfield tailings and pipeline project. For you, safety and quality are a priority and you are proud of your work at the end of each day.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret electrical, architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
• Pulling cables and cable tray installation
• Wire lighting fixtures, plugs, switches, control panels
• Medium voltage terminations
• Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix defective circuits
• Willing to act as a mentor to Apprentice Electricians

Requirements:

• Have a Journeyperson Electrical certification from a recognized provincial training authority
• Indentured Electrical Apprentice
• Experience with working on a construction project in an industrial setting
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Successful candidates will require CSTS 2020, CSO or BSO

Work Conditions:

• Shift based position working 14 days on / 7 days off rotation
• Working 10-12 hours per day
• Site based camp provided
• Travel allowance provided for those that qualify (non-locals)
• Flights are not provided; would suit locals or candidates residing in western Canada
• Benefits provided by CLAC
• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
