Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct new hire safety training during the onboarding process.
• Assists in the coordination and completion of safety inspections, audits, and investigations.
• Implementation and auditing of the HSE Program, including subcontractor management.
• Ensure compliance with all MSHA/OSHA and state regulations.
• Conducting and monitoring of HSE training and documentation.
• Maintain a good working relationship with project clients and suppliers.
• When required, be able to travel to other mining projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably in the Mining Industry
• A thorough understanding of MSHA regulations, documentation, and MSHA 30 CFR
• MSHA Instructors Certification is considered an asset
• Excellent verbal, written communications, and computer skills
• The ability to provide a proactive approach to safety, to include identification of operational and organizational issues, as well as develop and implement strategies to solve them
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with clean abstract

Work Conditions

• Project based location near Ely Eureka, Elko, NV
• Monday to Friday, dayshift
• Company vehicle and accommodations provided
